Bath bombs are widely known for their fizzing effects, colorful design, scents and of course for staining your bathtub. And the big question is that, can bath bomb really make your skin beautiful and smooth?

Well, the answer is “yes” and “no”, because it depends on your bath bomb ingredients. Some people have a very sensitive skin like they are allergic to some ingredients like the colors, or scents it may cause irritation on their skin. But some bath bombs contain natural ingredients like natural oil that can be very beneficial to skin, that can help moisturize the skin.

If you have a super sensitive skin try to avoid color or dyes, fragrance or any toxic substance that can cause irritation on your skin. But sad to say most bath bombs sold in our market today contain toxic. Don’t worry you can always make your own natural bath bombs at home as easy as one, two, three. Here is my simple homemade bath bomb recipe, what are we going to use is peppermint oil, coconut oil, and Epsom salt is the best ingredient for achy muscles and to help soothe the itchy skin.

To begin you need to have a bath bomb mold which you can purchase online, like Amazon here is a link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CXCV4DE, you can buy it here. Prepare a big bowl, mix all together the Epsom salts, baking soda and cream of tartar mix it well until all lumps are broken. Citric acid is the main ingredient so that the bath bomb will fizz but this can cause irritation on your skin so instead use the cream of tartar you may also add rosemary for a calming effect or anything dried herbs like mint or lavender.

The next step you need is to mix the coconut oil and peppermint oil. The coconut oil is one of the best ingredients for your skin leaving so smooth and supple. The way to add this is by spray you lightly spray the oil to your mixture and note that you should not add to much water to your mixture you should always remember your mixture should be slightly moist and it will hold together when you squeezed but still crumby. Always remember if your mixture is very wet it will activate your cream of tartar.

Then the final step, you put your mixture into the molder then squeeze the mixture to mold properly. After leave it for four hours in a cool spot. Once it’s already solid, you may get it slowly, but if you notice your bath bomb will not release you may tap it a little not too hard to avoid damage. Then you can now enjoy your natural bath bomb in your tub!
